Mother & Dad’s Photos - Album 10
Mother worked for Lutheran Social Services during the 1960 & 1970’s caring for foster
children. Although this was a family affair, I think it would be safe to say that mother did
90% of the work. During this time, mother cared for 87 foster children, several more than
once. Mother had as many as four children at the same time. Mother is now 91 years old
and lives in an assisted living facility in Apple Valley, MN. Mother kept a photo album with
notes on each child. I have included her notes below each photo. At the end you will see
several family photos that mother included in her album.
